The great man is one who can put into words the will of his age,

After Rome, I spent a couple of days in Florence, which is the city-state that owned the Pisa Cesare lived in. It's also where a bunch of his classmates are from, where some of the scenes are set, etc etc. There's not a whole lot here that super directly relates to him, but Pisa is Medici territory and I kind of love the Medici now thanks to his canon. ( Without further ado! )

In May, I realized that my time in Spain was rapidly coming to an end and that I had not seen something that I really wanted to. ( You thought that I was only going to do two posts like this, didn't you. )

So Wednesday night I realized that I could take an overnight bus to Gandía and see a statue of Cesare.

That was about all it took.

( It turns out that Gandía has so much more, you guys. )
