IC: Boar Hunting

*Camp's a farm, right? And you know what farms have? Pigs.

The ones in Camp are a little... different from the cute, not-by-the-hair-on-my-chinney-chin-chin ones some of you might be more familiar with, however...

One way or another, it's clearly the time for a boar hunt. Clearly. And somewhere away from the center of Camp are two people on horses looking to do just that.*

The Fade is the realm of spirits and demons. People from our world tend to wander there when they dream, although dwarves are an exception, and mages like myself are able to channel power from the Fade to perform our spells.

...although I'll have to admit. I'm a little disappointed that not even the magisters of Tevinter can conjure things out of thin air. Well... anything other than demons, that is.

From what I know, dwarves have an innate resistance to magic.

[Fenris begins nosing about while Hawke is explaining, looking for the direction of the scent trail before he loses it entirely.]

Although I am fascinated by your explanation, perhaps we should continue this conversation after the hunt. I am afraid it will take hours for you to satisfy our curiosity and I would much rather be able to give you the attention you deserve.

You're right. That boar isn't going to hunt itself, and I certainly wouldn't mind the attention of a charming young man when this is over.

[she chuckles, before walking after Fenris.]

Off this way. The smell of pig and dog is difficult to miss, even with the scents of two horses and three humans clogging the air.

Is that going to be a problem for you? I think we can try to stay downwind if you need it.

There is a small risk of confusing your scents for that of the pig - but I think I'll manage.

*dismounting! and taking Romulus firmly by the reins* It's not fair to be mounted if and some of us on foot while we're all following the same prey.

Ride, walk, or dance if it pleases you. The game is coming no closer as we simply stand.

[Cranky wolf is getting crankier.]

Are you certain? Maybe if we danced well enough, the boar might be curious about the festivities and come to us.

[She's going to start walking in... whatever direction we're supposed to be going, though.]

Right, because nobody other than me thought it'd be a good idea to double up.

If you would care to remount, you and Fenris could form one team and Hawke and myself could form the second. I know you were eager to get some more riding practice in, and this looks like it will be an excellent opportunity.

Hawke and myself are accustomed to functioning as a team.

We are, but I wouldn't be against trying something new.
