This is Miguel de Corella, Cesare's... well, I guess you could call him his best friend, although Miguel certainly wouldn't agree with that. He was brought from Spain as a child to be Cesare's help and support, as they put it in canon, and has been living with him ever since.
For all that he, like Cesare, is a teenage boy, he's also deadly efficient when it comes down to protecting Cesare. This sentiment is returned. Cesare beat up a guy and set off a mini gang war to defend Miguel's honor. They hate each other sometimes. A lot of the time. At the end of it all, Miguel is the one Cesare turns to--except for when he needs to bitch about Miguel himself, then he complains to Angelo who, btw, is that blond haired kid in a bunch of these panels and who Jason reminded Cesare of. Miguel is also an orphan and Jewish in a time when that raises some problems (hence the beating up a guy) and knows full well that without Borgia support he would probably be a mercenary fighting for some petty warlord.
Also, I don't really have a way to work this scene in, but it's good too. :3
Miguel is awesome and I fully endorse reading this canon just for him. He pinged me hard, much harder than Cesare, actually, and I really did almost app him instead.
