Have you ever met a version of yourself before, Cesare?

Not in person, no. I have seen this man before, however, although he was not in Camp.

How did you see him?

Has this happened to you?

I've had several people try to tell me that I'm just a character in a children's show.

I've also met myself. I've taken my own place, too, which isn't as interesting as you'd think.

How do you take your own place?

Camp, naturally.

It was more of an exchange, really. She came here, and I went there.

How were the two of you different?

Things turned out a lot worse for her than they did for me. She wasn't a Rider.

But she was braver, and stronger, and ... sadder, probably, I think.

How do you know that she was stronger?

Because I saw the world she had to survive in. I was only there for a little while, thanks to the way time works in Camp, but it was ... scary. It was what somebody might imagine hell is like, without all the heat.

Is it a risk that your own world might face?

[Shaking her head.]

No. It was never meant to turn out the same way it did for her, for me. Everything is probably going to be a lot ... messier, for her.

Will you be able to go back for her?

I can't change her story.

Not what has already been written.

If what I did -- what Tsukasa-kun and I both did -- didn't change it, then it can't be changed. I wish it could be, but nobody's all-powerful, at least not that I've met.

The version of myself I met before, her world should have been saved. But I haven't been back to see.

If you think it should have been then it probably has been. I hope you are right.

So do I. She was the only human left, or one of very few.

But I can't spend all my time worrying about it, either.
