IC: After Vacation

*As the subject says, come 1/6 Cesare is knocking on the door to one of the cabins.*

Rue. It's me.

*Since this is a front door, and it leads to the residence of someone he actually likes, he'll wait a bit to see if it will be opened for him before trying it himself.*

[the door is unlocked, and Rue is sprawled on the bed asleep on his back. he seems to be fairly glowing with energy and health]

*all right, letting himself in and closing and locking the door behind him* Ah, you are back. *going over to sit on the edge of the bed and take off his boots*

Mmm...

[shifts and stretches out before curling around Cesare's back without really waking]

Looks like you thoroughly enjoyed yourself.

*kicks them off, undoes his doublet and drapes it over the foot of the bed*

[opens his eyes slightly, looking up with a slight yawn]

Mm... Cesar...

[maleborgia]

*teasing:* Missed me? *and rolling over Rue to lie on his other side*

Mm... [snuggling against him] not exactly, but it's nice to see you again.

[maleborgia]

*casual arm drape~* So? Tell me about it.

[ruecherche]

I had aruna with an entire village for six days. [shrugs slightly] It was delightful really.

[maleborgia]

That is hardly the riveting story you promised me, but I am already jealous. Did you do anything else? Sleep? Eat?

[ruecherche]

Of course, but not too terribly much. Aruna was the goal of the trip after all... well, and sending a couple of letters, I suppose.

[maleborgia]

That's right. I assume it went as planned?

[ruecherche]

Better in some ways. They were expecting me this year.

[maleborgia]

*...laughs*

Really? You are a god. Do they make special preparations? Arrange a celebratory welcoming committee in your honor?

[ruecherche]

Mm... it seems they've started something of a festival for it after the solstice. I've heard that many towns in the area are also involved in it. I suppose that's good since I haven't been to the same place twice now.

[maleborgia]

Are you choosing specific towns? Or just going where the wind takes you?

[ruecherche]

[shrugs] I go to the closest one. It's usually not far.

[maleborgia]

Hm.

You missed the cake. I wonder how large yours would have been. Multitiered, I do not doubt.

[ruecherche]

Cake?

[maleborgia]

It was presented to those of us lucky enough to get around that most annoying rule of Camp's while on vacation.

[ruecherche]

Should I be offering my congratulations then?

[maleborgia]

Congratulations. How was the cake?

[maleborgia]

I did not have any. I gave it to Shaun and he insisted on dragging me to the hospital.

[ruecherche]

Why would he do that?

[maleborgia]

He thought I would have picked something up from the girl.

[ruecherche]

Ah... the diseases humans were prone to? Terribly rude of him.

[maleborgia]

It was! *indignant teenager is indignant, also shifting closer*

[chuckles softly]

I assume it's nothing he needed to worry about for himself then.

[maleborgia]

*...all right, that brightens him up. rolls onto his side, leaning on his arm.*

No, you're right. But that's enough about him. Tell me more about your vacation. Was it a continuous event, like in the Roman Empire? Or did you have people queuing up to visit with you?

I'm not sure what the Roman Empire was.

[maleborgia]

The empire that my time looks back to for inspiration and unity, but that's of no real matter.
