You have had time to recognize your mistake and to think about what you should do differently in the future. I see no reason why you cannot think about this as well. That shall be your task. Think about how you would keep your temper in check, especially against your own family, and come up with ideas for what you can when you next feel your rage building uncontrollably. I command you to do this as penance for your sins and I additionally ask you to do it as your brother who needs your help to keep our family together.
